F1 BINGO Support
Frequently asked questions. Your cards, phrases, and stats stay private to you — there are no accounts to manage.
Getting Started
How do I start a game?
- Open the Game tab
- Tap New Game (the +, top-right) — or Start Race Card the very first time
- A fresh 5×5 card is dealt, ready for lights out
Starting a new card replaces your current one, so you’ll get a quick confirmation first.
How do I play?
Turn on the race and watch along. When something on your card happens on the broadcast —
a safety car, a “BOX BOX BOX,” a podium surprise — tap that square. Complete a line
(or the whole board) to win, then share your result.
What is the FREE space?
The checkered-flag square in the center starts marked and counts toward every win line — just like
traditional bingo. You can’t unmark it.
What counts as a win?
That depends on your game mode (see below). When you hit it, the result screen and a little
celebration let you know you’ve taken the flag.
Game Modes
What are the five modes?
- Classic — any row, column, or diagonal
- Rows Only — a completed horizontal row
- Columns Only — a completed vertical column
- Four Corners — mark all four corners
- Blackout — mark the entire board, for the brave
How do I change the mode?
Tap the Mode pill on your race card, or change it in Settings.
Either way, switching mode re-scores your current card right away — no need to tap another
square first.
Custom Phrases
Can I add my own squares?
Yes. Go to Settings → Custom Phrases, type a phrase, pick a category, and tap
Add Phrase. Your phrases are mixed into newly dealt cards alongside the built-in race prompts —
perfect for group-chat lore, commentary catchphrases, and race-day rituals.
How do I manage them?
In the Phrase Garage, toggle any phrase on or off to include or exclude it from new cards, or
tap the trash icon to delete it.
Why was my phrase blocked?
To keep cards shareable, a light content filter blocks strong profanity and slurs — you’ll see a friendly
“black-and-white flag” note if a phrase is caught. Everyday race banter is fine; just reword and try again.
Can I share my phrase pack?
Yes — use Share Pack in Settings to send your custom phrases to a friend as text.
Your Team & the Look
How do I set my team colors?
In Settings → Player, tap the team row and choose your team. The whole app responds in your
team’s accent — the card, the marks, and the result screen. Twelve teams are included.
Can I hide the “Race Briefing” card?
Yes. Tap the small ✕ on the Race Briefing to tuck it away and keep the Game screen clean. It
stays hidden after that.
Stats & Schedule
What does the Stats tab track?
Your career at a glance: total bingos, win rate, cards played,
squares marked, a breakdown by mode, and your most recent results.
When does a card count toward my stats?
A card is recorded once you’ve actually played it (marked at least one square beyond the free
space) and then start a new card. Your current, in-progress card also shows live in your stats.
Can I share my stats?
Yes — tap the share icon on the Stats tab to export a polished stats image, straight into the group chat.
What’s on the Schedule tab?
The full 2026 Grand Prix calendar with each round’s status, plus a live countdown to the next
race and a Play This Race button that jumps you straight to a fresh card.
Sharing, Sync & Privacy
How do I share a race card?
Tap the share icon (top-left of the Game screen) or Share Card to export your
board as a crisp image you can post anywhere.
Do my cards sync across my devices?
Yes. Your cards, custom phrases, and stats sync privately across your own devices using iCloud —
no accounts, no sign-up, no tracking. (Cross-device updates aren’t instant; they converge as iCloud syncs.)
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings → Data → Delete My Data. This removes your card, stats, custom phrases, and
settings from the device and your private iCloud, and can’t be undone.
Which devices are supported?
F1 BINGO runs on iPhone and iPad.
Is this an official Formula 1 app?
No. F1 BINGO is an independent, unofficial, fan-made entertainment app for race viewers. It is
not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Formula 1, the FIA, any team, or any rights holder. No official
logos, liveries, footage, or live timing data are included. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
