Troubleshooting

My Assignment Does Not Appear

  • Refresh the Events or Assignments view
  • Confirm you are signed in to the correct Field2Desk account
  • For agency work, confirm the Assignment was assigned to the same account you are using in Field2Desk

My Camera Is Not Sending Images

  • Confirm the camera is connected to the correct Field2Desk network
  • Confirm your Field2Desk Hub is powered and operating
  • Verify that the correct Assignment is active
  • Check your camera’s FTP connection and transmission status

Images Are Pending or Retrying

  • Check the network connection available to your Field2Desk device
  • Keep Field2Desk running and allow the system to continue its delivery attempts
  • Check Delivery Activity for updated status
  • A temporary FTP or network interruption may cause an image to remain pending or enter retry status

An Image Shows Failed

  • Confirm that network connectivity has been restored
  • Verify the configured FTP destination is available
  • For an agency Assignment, contact the assigning organization if its destination appears unavailable
  • If the problem continues, contact Field2Desk Support

Tips and Tricks

  • Test your camera-to-Field2Desk connection before the assignment starts
  • Activate only the Assignment you are currently covering
  • Use Delivery Activity as your quick field check rather than interrupting your shooting workflow
  • Review agency Assignment details before arriving so you know your position and coverage responsibility
  • Open important Field Documents before arriving at locations where cellular or Wi-Fi service may be limited
  • Keep your Hub and mobile device powered throughout the assignment
  • Remember: once Field2Desk has successfully received an image, the system manages its outbound delivery workflow
